ICLEF is deeply saddened to learn of Jessie’s passing.  For over 40 years, Jessie played a pivotal role in many aspects of continuing legal education.  She was especially dedicated to the Trial Advocacy Skills College, where she participated as an instructor, critiquing panelist, and as a loyal scholarship contributor.  The latter allowed participants with a financial challenge to be able to attend the program who otherwise would not have been able to do so.  It was also not unusual for Jessie to spend extra time outside of the classroom helping mentor young lawyers through criminal and trial practice proceedings.  Her passion was always to make the profession better by making sure new lawyers got off to a solid start in their careers.  Jessie displayed the characteristics of compassion, caring, and character to a level beyond professional, all the while being a true friend through and through.  Jessie, you will be missed by all of us on this side of Heaven.  You have earned your rest.
