Estate Planning for the Family Farm
1 CLE
Agriculture is a huge part of Indiana’s heritage. According to the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, more than $4.6 billion of Indiana’s agricultural products are exported throughout the world. In fact, Indiana’s agriculture brings in approximately $31.2 billion a year to Indiana’s economy. Even more impressive, as of 2019, 96% of Indiana farms are still family-owned or operated.
This is where we, as elder law attorneys and estate planners, can assist and support our local farmers.
Just like our clients who come in and want to protect the family home that their parents or grandparents built, our farmers want to be able to protect the family farm that has been passed down from one generation to another.
