Knowing the Value of Your Business

This year’s Business Valuations seminar will focus on issues relating to understanding an organizations value and addressing issues that can affect the value and funding of a business entity.  Our program will address some key items such as intellectual property, non-compete issues and risk management in real estate transactions that can affect value as well as discuss variables such as the recent JOBS Act that can effect funding a business.

Our day will conclude with an esteemed panel of experts who will address numerous variables that come into play in the current climate that can affect the value and funding of a business entity including:

  • What do you look for in a target company?
  • What are the Market trends?
  • Is it currently a buyer’s or seller’s market?
  • Are there “good” or “bad” industries?
  • Have banks loosened up on lending?  Any special provisions in loan documentation?
  • Have you used local programs/incentives in your deals?
  • How has timing been – longer or shorter to close deals?  Why?
  • Have any common deal terms become sticky or have new ones arisen?

So bring your questions and leave with answers that will aid you in assisting your business clients in the volatile area of business valuations.
