The ICLEF Criminal Law Webcast Series Continues

ICLEF’s Criminal Law Webcasts Series comes to a close in the month of November with its final two installments on the 16th and the 22nd.

The vast majority of criminal cases end in a negotiated settlement or a sentencing hearing. On November 16th we will hear the perspectives of a Judge, a prosecutor and a defense attorney about how they arrive at a sentence, a plea offer and a deal. Our panel will include the Honorable Jane Magnus-Stinson, who served as a Marion County Superior Court Judge for over a decade prior to her appointments as both a Magistrate and now Judge in of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.  This seminar will be a unique opportunity to hear from all three sides involved in the criminal court process and should not be missed by anyone practicing in the area of criminal law.

Our final installment will be a Criminal Case Law Update on November 22nd.  IU Law Professor Joel Schumm along with Bingham McHale’s James Bell, Casey Kannenberg and Alex Gude have researched and analyzed the most significant cases of 2011.  It is a great opportunity to catch up on the more relevant issues our courts have seen this year.

So join us in-person or by the convenience of your laptop for these ICLEF Criminal Law Webcast Series events.
